preparing the script to direct
i like to make a lot of notes on the script, like actor directions, camera angles, overhead diagrams, etc. on a regular script page, everything can get cluttered pretty quickly. to give me more space, i like to print out the script in landscape mode, not portrait, which gives me half the page for notes….
recap: friday, day before the shoot
i finished up the shot list and sent it to the dp and a couple other key crew members. here’s a picture of what i actually sent. it includes the floorplan so we know which direction we’re shooting, and what general area will need to be lit.
