here are some notes i was scribbling. they look like jibberish, but the notes make sense to me. this is an important part of the brainstorming process where i play around with different blocking of the actors in relation to the camera. to me, storyboards by themselves aren’t that useful, but they help me figure out the floorplans. once i decide on the shots i like, i have to transcribe them and clean them up so the rest of the crew can understand what my intent is.

another fest
ku klux kornea has gotten an early acceptance into the show off your shorts film festival. it takes place in LA at raleigh studios mid february. it will also be screening this friday 11/9 at the austin asian film festival.
frame by frame
there are a couple of shots where the boom mic dips into frame. to fix that, i’ve been exporting the frames as an image sequence and then fixing them frame by frame in photoshop. when you first import a frame in photoshop, the aspect ratio is off. it looks like this, at 1280 x 1080….
