the writing fellowship is very intense! there are meetings during the day, class on wed., and the rest of the time is spent writing, rewriting, or researching. i spent all weekend working on the 2nd draft revision for my 30 rock spec while also working on 3 premise lines for my cougar town spec.
i got feedback on my cougar town premises today, and they need some serious work! i’m used to writing loose premise lines and then refining as i go, but i can’t work like that anymore. i need to really figure out the details early on, write it down clearly, and then also be able to pitch everything verbally in a way that communicates the story as well as the humor. that’s a lot of of work! my revised premise lines are due tomorrow at 3. looks like it’s going to be a late night for me!
